Shani: Considering this is a Why Choose romance with 2 peens per MC and 3 MCs total, it feels like the sexy times should have been WAY nastier and sexier!
Bridget: So many missed opportunities to ratchet up the heat. I definitely think that there were some things that were promised in the text and then we got skipped over. Despite that, still had some good heat.

Y’all this book is a dystopian, why choose, little red riding hood retelling, fantasy, alien romance. There is a LOT of plot to cover in the book. And it felt like when you have aliens who mate in triads with 2 peens each, you really should just get to the smut? Especially since it started out with some mutual cuddling and wet dreams, and then things slowed down a bit. The entire 3rd act really felt like it should have been a sequel to the first book, vs complicating the story.
That said, we oddly enjoyed reading this potato chip book. 3 stars all around and we definitely had fun chatting about it on our podcast review.
