Quick Guide Review of the Book and Notes

Book Title: Firefighter Sea Dragon

Author: Zoe Chant

Narrator/ Available in audio: Lucy Rivers

Part of a Series: Fire & Rescue Shifters #4

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Cover Art: The ABS! Into this cover. Also, love that he is a Black man because you don’t see that on covers as often.

Synopsis: Neridia Small just wants to fit in - but that's hard when you stand six foot six in your bare feet. Color her surprised when a man rises out of loch ness and saves her from some drunk locals. John Doe is shocked to find that Neridia is his mate since he is a powerful sea dragon knight who searched the seas for her, never thinking to look on land.

Neridia turns out to be the missing emperor’s daughter, who he kept from the ocean to protect her from politics. Will her celibate knight be able to be with her? Does Neridia even want to be Empress.

Favorite parts of the book

“It was a critical task, requiring great delicacy of touch. From Hugh’s scowl, which deepened further with every box, he did not fully appreciate the honor of his role.

This book started out so funny for me. I loved the feeling of the friend firefighters. Even though clearly this wasn’t the first book in the series, I don’t think I missed out on too much by not reading the other book first.

Liked how they got around Chase’s promise by bringing Griff to be the one to explain

Political plot to kill Neridia before she can take the throne

Master Shark turns out to be an ally - friend of her father’s

He breaks vow to chastity to help her turn into her sea dragon bc they are mates :) dying

He sleeps with her again and she thinks she is making him give up his honor, but really he got special allowance. She feels alone :(

Neridia curled into her mate’s embrace, listening to his soft words of relief and reassurance, surrounded by his strength and love. She had never felt so alone.

Takes her to Atlantis! Her and his sister getting along great.

Trusts the sister to get her outta there when she finds out about the plot by the master commander dude. Doesn’t want her mate to have to choose or know he is bad.

He chooses her - John shook his head gently, never taking his eyes off his seething opponent. “I do not know why, but the thought of returning to Atlantis makes your soul cry out in anguish. I will not allow you to be dragged back there.”

She finally does it to save his life at the end.

Alls well that ends well. She is empress. He is a consort. She spends part of the year on land.
